Are you looking to develop mine blast resistant seats that can greatly improve occupant survivability?
Armored Hull deflects and protects the vehicle from mine blasts but occupants can not survive high initial acceleration levels generated by these blasts. Incorporating Energy Absorbing (EA) seat in the vehicle greatly improves occupant survivability during under-vehicle mine explosion (improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and mines) and accidents. We develop and deliver blast resistant seats for mine protected vehicles (MPVs) ensuring occupant safety.
High Shock Absorption
Mine blast resistant seats (MBRS) developed by our team provides high shock absorption efficiency attenuating the acceleration of over 100g to less than 15g which is sustainable by humans. Occupant safety is ensured with maximum absorption of energy in minimum stroke space.
High Strength Materials and Better Fuel Efficiency
The energy absorbing elements are developed from special material alloys with specific manufacturing processes. The seat structure is made up of high strength materials leading to lightweight design providing better fuel efficiency to the vehicle.
Compact Design
The seats are designed to be packaged inside the available cabin space. The design incorporates quick release and seat folding systems saving space and offering maintenance benefits and alternate use.
Simulation-Driven Engineering
We leverage simulation-driven engineering for verification of the system with vehicle structure, and seat structure coupled with hybrid III dummies. The design is virtually optimized for clearing occupant safety criteria for head, neck and spine injuries.
Stringent Testing
The seat is designed to cater to occupants of 5 to 95 percentile. Validation testing is completed via drop tower test with a dummy instrumented occupant.
Conformance Standards
Military grade 2, 4 or 5-point harnesses, adjustable back rack, foot rest, adjustable head support and side restraints are used for occupant safety. We use military grade foam and fabric for comfort and safety of soldiers. Seats are developed to clear relevant STANAG standards. The design and manufacturing conforms to the AS9100D Quality Management System.
